Non knitting frustration

So, as many of you know, I am changing life paths. I have resigned from the Lyric and I am now on the fast track to teaching in inner city Chicago schools. What this means...

NO KNITTING!

I have class every Wednesday night and now I cannot participate in knitting group. I miss the conversations, the comradery and the knitting. I find between creating plots, shop orders, class, & homework, leaves no time to knit. Anyone ever accomplished knitting while sleeping?!

Last pair of clogs

I have finally finished my last pair of clogs. Picture to come later. I have to felt them and they will be done. This completes my 10th pair of clogs since I got the pattern 1 year ago. I love it, but I am SO sick of it. I thought I was done after the Christmas rush just to find out I had one more pair to make for my boyfriend's mother! I must love these people

I think I am going to stay completely away from feet for now and make hats and bags or bunnies or something that is not FEET!

Ahhh... the new year has come

So, it has been ages since I have blogged a thing and it seems not a whole lot has happened. I knitted my fingers to the bones for Christmas presents. Mainly clogs. I got all of the done just to find out... My boyfriend's mom asked for slippers for Christmas. So, here come the #13 circulars yet once again.

I am so excited say that after a crazy Christmas break with my family (car stolen/in ravine, sister's broken foot, falling and hitting head) I came back to some wonderful news.

I have been invited to be a join a program that allows me to teach while earning my teaching certificate. So after 4 years at the opera, I am trading it in for teaching. I am ecstatic!

Kodak

Here is my boy Kodak. He was napping yesterday while I as trying to knit. I just thought this was too cute.

I'm a slacker update

Ok, so I have been so bad with the blogging. Here is some of what I have done. I had to make a pair of clogs and a bag each for my mom and her friend. Here is one picture. I also have made a pair for myself. Speaking of, my mom was allergic to hers. Are there any suggestions out there? I used Reynold Lopi for her clogs.

Here is Kodak, my cat, on my first knitting project. It was a scarf gone cat bed.
